Oh yes, how I WELL remember.......the flooding of June, 2008.....I'm in Des Moines and we got hit really bad as well. It was really a horrendous nightmare. Hubby and I went out driving around, and it was just heartbreaking, seeing some of our favorite places in/around the city totally under water.....our son's old high school was flooded pretty badly as well. Sure won't ever forget this last summer!
It was a devastating experience, and I remember how badly Iowa City and Cedar Rapids got it as well.
